Nice #s Doug! Kind of a stupid question for you...but here goes...how do you control your kayak at the tail of the pool to give your self enough time to fish it thoroughly? Do you park it at the ridge drop-off and cast up stream, anchor up, or keep paddling upstream? Gotta try the jerkbait bite again!

Usually a combination of a couple of the above :D I usually throw a couple of casts as I'm floating downstream towards the tail up portion of the pool (the push water) & then paddle back up slightly & repeat if I want to work the tail up from side to side. Then if there's exposed ledge rock, I'll beach the kayak to stand on the rock & cast back up into the tail up & also along the current seams below the ledge rock.

I will anchor up if there's alot of structure there I want to cover & not potentially spook the fish
