time to go home... You can see Honolulu and Diamondhead Mountain in the background.

Josh,
Sweet bone fish bubba! How deep was the water you were fishing in, and how far off shore were you? Did you see any sharks?
Also you need to get a photobucket account set up so you can post more than one pic per post.

Looks like you had a really good day, can't wait to see the next trip report. I'm going scouting tomorrow, if I find liquid water I'll post up some pics.

Didn't know about Photo bckt, I will set that up...

I launched on base and the shoreline is cresent shaped with the first 500 yrds being shallow water flats.. You then start to hit 5-10 foot water where the reef line is.... I was another 5 football fields past that point near an old bridge structure from the 40's... I anchored up current of the huge support structure and the current driffted me with the anchor line slack about even with the structure and 20 ft to the side of it... I cast into the dead spot behind the structure and they must have been stacked up in there b/c it was non stop, as soon as it drifted into the turbulent current they nailed it... The water was 25ft deep. When the tides switched i just reversed everything and caught them on the other side... As I was paddeling back to the launch site I spotted a school of 50 bones and cast to them and picked up another 2 fish in 10" of water. Saw a bunch of sea turtles and a manta ray that was bigger than the yak, no sharks this time unfortunantly---i had a big bloodie bait fish waiting for one to cruise by....

Oh an the lesson learned on this trip is to not try to use the fam cam to catch a awesome bonefish fight on tape... I had it set up on the bucket behind my seat and had been filming fights all day with the hopes of posting it on youtube but I had a bone come up to the boat and tail dance an no crap his tail hit the bucket and the cam went flying off into 20 ft of water it a zipping current---it was gone... Now I have an excure for a hat mounted cam set up... Kt gets a new fam cam now too so i guess shes probably happy... Even though shes acting upset, something about losing all those Christmas pics this year :/

Do some research because I swear I have seen a show on TV with a guy bass fishing on some lake where they stocked bass. Can't remember where but I am almost positive it was Hawaii. Might be wrong though because it was years ago.
