A very good Muskie fishery, but a lot of the locals are not well educated and see them as threats. Then the other locals use live bait rigged wrong, and end up killing fish attempting to catch them, or they don't use the right gear and do harm to the fish. I think they have been stocking them since the 70's but recently the word is getting out. They are in a fairly isolated area, not state wide, and the main bodies of water are huge fisheries.
I haven't personally fished for them, but know a guy who does, we are supposed to go with him to learn how to properly catch, handle, and release the fish without being harmed (us or the fish).
