Georgia Hybrids 2/19

Postby elhoward622 » Tue Feb 21, 2012 8:33 pm

I was able to sneak away from the house for a few hours to chase some big large mouth at a reservoir known to hold big bass. Instead, I found hungry Hybrids chasing shad. When in Rome... :D

They are a blast to catch. They were keyed in on shad schools and busting them. I don't have a ton of experience with catching them, but I think you are best off down lining live bait when they are not busting shad schools. Hope to get on some more next trip out.

It is pretty exciting here to out on the water bass fishing when they start destroying the shad. Those are good size hybrids!

Nice Hybrids. I used to catch them in the Ohio River upstream of Wheeling, WV. They pull like crazy in the tailrace of a dam!
