Falcon Lake Big Bass Beatdown

Postby NativeTexan » Thu Mar 08, 2012 8:53 am

I took a trip to Falcon Lake with some friends from AKF and had one of those trips where it all came together(for the most part). In some cases pictures work better than words. First day 5 fish stringer went 118.75" with the mouth closed and just over 40lbs. Site is only letting me add one attachment so you can view the report at AustinKayakFishing.com forum under fishing reports. This is the 10lb 12oz that is posted in the challenge.

Hooked into 4 that would have gone over 10 but only saw 2 and landed 1. Caught and missed multiple 7-8lb fish using the jig, square bill and Tx. rigged mag fluke. Trip of a lifetime but am ready to try and top that my next trip there. Great time in Zapata with new and old friends.

Wow those are some pigs, and congrats in the challenge. Now if you can make it back every month you could have Angler of the Year.

Thanks, I need to set that up pronto. I can't go to Falcon that often due to the kidos but I have a friend that is. You may have seen some of his work in the 2 fish challenge.

I didn't think that would have been possible for the 2 fish challenge, and there may have been others that thought the same. Very impressive.

Congrats again Mark! I think Troy and I are going to plan a trip in April if you're interested.
