Nose hooking a three inch stick bait with a small octopus hook is a deadly presentation for smallmouth

I love Senko style baits. They get a bad rap just like the Alabama rig because people seem to think that once you rig it up that fish are just going to jump in your boat. They seem to forget that the lure isn't going to find fish and reel them in for you. The Senko is just another tool to get the job done.

It is an unsporting way to fish and you should all stop fishing them and send them to me for disposal
I rig them pretty much any way that'll catch fish but a texas rig with no weight is my favorite.

Me and my brother really liked the results we got using the 3" senko style baits. It worked equally as well nose hooked as it did wacky style. Last year was our first time using the 3" but far from the last time. They just worked great to catch fish when the bite was tough.

I occasionally fish the 5" ones but.... As was mentioned they are a spot on spot bait. I fish the 2" ones on a jighead I designed in the dead of summer and pick apart pieces of cover. Those little baits catch big fish too. Problem is getting to be finding the 2" version now. Other times of the year I will fish 3 or 4" weightless and weedless. I have and use lots of them. Wave Worms has lots of colors, good action and they are cheap on the 4" models, they dont make anything smaller.
