I have been seeing a lot of posts in the going and been fishing section that would be better in other areas on the forum. This section is mostly for posting up fishing trips that you will be taking so you can invite others to go with you or just to let others know what you are up to and for reporting on how your fishing trips went after you get back. There are a lot of different areas on KBF that deal with other specific questions regarding fishing gear, rigging, etc... and you will get more responses when they are posted in the right places. It will also provide other people browsing the forums some good information when they are in those sections. It keeps the powers that be from having to move posts to the correct areas too. Just something to keep in mind.

I removed my post about flipping... is there a tips and techniques section? Was going to post in the Largemouth category but there hasn't been a post since July...

Am I missing something here?
Thanks
Don

this brings up a good question... where would it go? i guess if the technique was only used for that species then it would go in that section... but if its multi species technique then it kind a gets lost in limbo. where did you move it to?

There are a bunch of posts in largemouth since July, not sure what is up on your end. To answer your question the largemouth section would have been fine for the flipping question or suggestion. However, I would have put it in the lures or Rods, Reels and Line section. Thanks Wallbanger for the suggestion, I move quite a few posts and it would help if they were posted in the right section. There is a description under each forum of its intended purpose.

I personally think it would be nice to have a fishing tips and techniques forum. Not kayak rigging but fishing tips/techniques.

Since Tips and Techniques have to do with "how to catch fish" and in most cases that involves using a lure, I put it there. If you want to slant it more towards the rod and reel to use, then it can also go there. If you read the forum description of the Lures, Lure Craft forum it says tips, tactics and techniques!!!!!
