They "fixed" what was not broken, and broke it. OK, done with my muttering, more photos coming along shortly (probably uncropped).

Thanks for the excellent photos Jeff! You've got quite the electronic set-up on your Ride 115.

Who knew the power of the Beetlespin? Both of my fish were caught probably within 5 or 10 casts of each other in the same area.

By the way, I had one of HookUP's excellent hand poured jigs attached to the Beetlespin and the snakehead barely bent the hook. Thanks George.

I can't wait to see the reports and photos from this Saturday.

7:00 A.M. launch on Saturday 05/05/12

for Mapquest use this address (that is either the exact address for that little park or close enough)

4904 Hawthorne Rd
Indian Head, MD 20640

See the red circle in the map below:

Here is the Google Earth view of the parking lot:

Any of the following Fishing Licenses are valid on the Mattawoman where we will be fishing (you just need one of them and you are all set):

Virginia Fresh Water
Virginia Salt Water
PRFC
Maryland Bay Sport

the 1st quarter mile down the creek has some shallow spots and a couple of areas where you will have to pop out and drag

this area has acres of lily pad fields, some lures that I saw produce this past Saturday:

Spinnerbaits
Chatterbaits
Crankbaits (Mann's 1-Minus)
Jig and Craw
Plastic Worms
Tubes
Soft Plastic Swimbait
