a little weekend inshore fun

Postby ecu daniel 14 » Mon May 21, 2012 7:16 pm

My college buddy came down to check out this spot off the intercoastal. We had fun even though the bite was tough. I lost a massive trout...he jumped out of the water and the hook flew out of his mouth. Other then that it was a blast.

yah i actually used my net this time haha. i think the sweep hookset instead of the upward hookset helps as well. now I have to learn to be more patient with trout. i hooked him very well but i should have kept the rod tip down to keep him from leaping out of the water.
