Heading out, Float Plans, Fishing reports, lessons learned, productive patterns, not so productive patterns, sob stories, came home and your wife was gone, got skunked..........
So I went fishing "after work" on Friday and it was a great time after a long week at work with the month end. I caught a few small fish and missed a nice one. I get up Sat morning after sleeping later than I wanted to and head out the door. My Jeep with my kayak is gone!!!! My wife took my Jeep with the kayak to go get some breakfast taco's. What the heck!!!! This would mess up my fishing tradition. I always stop to get kolaches before going fishing. Any way I thought it was kinda funny the wife would even leave the house by herself with my kayak on top of the Jeep. So back to fishing. I get to the launch and get in the water. Another kayaker was there waiting for me and we paddle straight to the spot where I had missed a nice one the day before. Because I was late and while we paddled we were talking all the way so I forgot to turn the camera's on. We get to the spot make a few cast and I'm thinking this is going to be a long morning. Then all of a sudden my rod takes a nose dive and its fish on. During the fight I forgot I have the new Sports-Vue 360HD camera with a remote up front on the panfish portrait and did not get the camera rolling till after the fish was in the kayak. Well I'll let you watch the video to see what happen's next. I will say that I will be making a few changes to how I do things.
Ouch Bobby... I feel your pain brother. Remember Fork last August? I had one that I was spreading the tail across the 23 inch mark when it flopped off the board... Haven't caught a really good one since then
Ouch! That happened to me on a late December bass that would have been the biggest for the year. At least you got video.
Now when I catch a good one I will snap a quick picture before removing the Fish Grip just in case that happens when I'm going for the Challenge picture.

yup that my friend is a "monkey friggin a football moment" lol...got to much goin on at one time...crazy how they can be that way...one fish will lay up there just as pretty as ya please...the next will make ya a nervous wreck...ive got a cam with a lanyard around my neck that seems to help....ya can drop cam and grab fish...but there is always the one that got away that will make ya paddle a biggun to the bank if its close and not to the point of hurting the fish
Great video, much better than just watching you measure it! I needed a good laugh that wasn't at my expense. Let me know when you're back down in the area.
