Hey, im a yak fisherman, and a sophomore at odyssey in rochester, ny. I fish just west of the gemesee river for bass, pike, trout, and whatever else decides to eat my lures. I fish out of a smaller yellow kayak fit w/ 2 scotty rod holders from the shores to a few iles out on lake ontario. Il be starting yak fishing in late march for lakers, so if anyone is in the area, let me know and we will go fishin (i have an extra yak if you dont want to bring yours). Also, check out fishgator.ning.com for western ny kayak fishing. C u on the water.

btw,If you ever feel like yak fishing near/ at round pond or in the lake let me know. I live on edgemere dr. but launch from my gramas beach a few houses down b/c i dont have a beach. I launch maybe 3 mins from the pond and can catch 5-10 Lm bass in an hour all over 13 inches. Largest bass there is 18.5 inch, pike is 34 inch, trout is 32". Its a hell of a spot and and easy paddle to other ponds as well as to the lake where i troll or jig for trout. Let me know, i probably am out on the water 3 nights a week after the weather gets good and am out almost every day during the summer and i have an xtra yak fer someone 2 use. Il be out by april and fish through november, just let me know.
