A few questions:

Member must provide name, email, phone number and city and state of residence. This information is required for Challenges that are based on location to determine scoring of fish. Update profile to include State at a minimum by going to the user control panel located at the top of the forum(s). After registering an account at KayakBassFishing.com, click on the CHALLENGES button at the top of the page, then Click on the REGISTER button and follow the entry procedures.

If a BassPass is purchased is the required information automatically submitted? My profile lists my city and state and my email address is registered with KBF, but I do not see a specific spot for a phone number or my legal name.

9. Catch, Photo and Release is the required method of submission. No photos of dead, mutilated, frozen or otherwise damaged fish will be accepted and all photos must have the kayak visible in the photo.

Does this mean we cannot keep a fish that we wish to enter into a challenge or is it that the fish must be alive at the time of the photo? This is a just in case question... For example, Joe Blow catches a 12 pound largemouth but gut hooks it so bad that the fish is sure to die shortly after it's released. Joe Blow doesn't want to release a 12 pound bass back into the water just to have it die but wants to enter his exceptional catch into a challenge. Can Joe Blow take a picture of the fish for entry into a challenge and then take it home with him for dinner or to the taxidermist?

10. Fish submitted may NOT be considered for multiple Challenges with the sole exception of the Hobie Pro Angler Big Bass Challenge. Anglers are only permitted to win the 1st Place prize in one Challenge. Each subsequent 1st place finish will result in receipt of the 2nd place prize and a gift certificate worth $200 to any KayakBassFishing.com sponsor. The angler will still receive the points for first place towards the Wilderness Systems Challenge Series Angler of the Year.

If someone wins a challenge other than the Hobie Challenge, is that angler now ineligible to win the Hobie challenge or (like the exception for entering fish into the Hobie Challenge that have been entered into another challenge) is the Hobie Challenge considered a seperate entity?

Great questions.

All required information is provided when purchasing the BASSPass, the phone number is submitted then and shows up in the database, this is so that we can easily contact folks if necessary for clarification, etc.

Angler may retain fish caught in the Challenges for whatever purpose they deem appropriate. The rule is designed to state that the fish must be "fresh" and alive at the time the photo is taken. I would like to promote Catch and Release, but there is no way to make it mandatory and police it.

Fish may not be used for multiple Challenges, however, the Hobie Big Bass Challenge is the sole exception. The Hobie Pro Angler Big Bass Challenge is a little different this year. It will be the biggest six fish caught during the eligibility period and no fish can come in the same month. This will be easy to determine because of the unique identifiers in the monthly Challenges. Fish caught in other Challenges may be used in the Hobie Pro Angler Big Bass Challenge. The specific rules for the Hobie Big Bass Challenge will be released very soon.

I think I asked a clear as mud question... What I meant was I see that you can't win two first place prizes, but if you win a first place prize in a monthly challenge can you still win the first place prize in the Hobie challenge too?

Thanks for the clarification my on earlier question. I can see where it would be best to allow someone to purchase the BassPass after a challenge starts, but then not be able to enter the next one. Then there's not the remailing of new identifiers and the same one is used all month long. Could be alot easier that way.

I'll be purchasing my BassPass next week. Got to watch the $ :D . The pass is an INCREDIBLE value if you get it in time for March's challenge. Especially with extra challenges and such that goes along with it. If you entered all the challenges seperately, you would have $180 in it, so that BasPass is a great value. Thanks to the boss and other involved parties on this one :D

Fish caught in other Challenges may be entered into the Hobie Pro Angler Big Bass Challenge.

It won't count towards the Wilderness Systems Angler of the Year title, but there WILL be a December Challenge......... :o All BASSPass holders will automatically be entered!!! Can you say KBF Christmas?

Is there going to be a list of acceptable watercraft added? I have a friend with a Mad River hybrid that is interested in joining up if his boat is legal. The thing looks like a canoe to me but then so does a native and a Commander. What about inflatable kayaks?

The Mad River Synergy is acceptable and so are inflatables. If it has kayak in the name by the company, then it is automatically eligible. I probably won't do a list just because it will become a pain. It is pretty straight forward, if it is close it is good. If you have a question, post it up or PM me.

A quick question... Will the fish calculator be used on all tournaments to "even out the playing field"? Or will that only be for certain tournaments?
