Here is a shot of our wedding this past summer at Sapphire Beach, Red Hook, St. Thomas, USVI.

Sunrise every day on the patio of the condo; this is the only palm tree in the entire complex that close to the condos.....a million dollar view.Image

Right before tieing the knot.........Image

And after, and I am still smiling.....(that is St. John, USVI right behind us, to the left are the British V.I.)Image

FYI, year round average tempurature is 86*....wonder where we are retiring to?

Want the phone number? I found the place on VRBO and the owner is an awesome ER doctor from the mid-west. He actually called me just as we were walking into the condo the first day to ask me how we liked the view of "Palm One". Seriously, the airfare cost more than the condo rental for the week; we will return for our first anniversary (and hopefully every one after that) and we will use the same condo.

I honestly can't say enough good about our experience in St. Thomas. We love it so much that we now have a joint goal of moving there after we retire. And the east end of the island (Red Hook) is where you want to be. Just a short $8 ferry ride and you are on the beaches of St. John (better beaches than St. Thomas if that's even possible) but you really want to stay on St. Thomas because everything (food, lodging, beverages) is cheaper on St. Thomas, and Sarah would prefer the shopping in Charlotte Amalie (the capitol) where all of the cruise ships dock.

You "kids" would really enjoy it. ;)

If I ever got married there the second picture would have been holding a fly rod off that rock and my wife trying to push me in the water for it :D

Thanks Plasticpirogue,

We got married once, I don't think we would do it again
We have actually talked about having a themed wedding vowel renewal for our 10yr Anniversary that's only in 2yrs.
The 1st time was not telling anyone besides 10 or 12 friends and heading off to the mountains to party for 4 days. It was a blast (no drama, no family, just great friends), and very affordable.
We would love to take a vacation out of the Continential U.S. it would revolve around fishing like all of our vacations, but my time off from work is very limited.

One of these days we will travel to the USVI.

That's close to how we did it. Just the two of us, the barefooted preacher (really), a barefooted photographer, and the two of us, also barefooted. We were actually on a snorkel boat just hours before the ceremony. No stress at all.....the only wat to do it.
