Day 1 introduction from Lawrenceburg, tn

Postby Bassbcool » Wed Jan 12, 2011 9:10 pm

Hello all, I just ran across this site and thought I would introduce myself and give a little history and so forth. My name is Terry Matney, I live in Lawrenceburg, TN. I fish Wilson, Wheeler, Kentucky, and Pickwick lakes as well as several smaller creeks and community lakes in my area. I love to bass fish, but also when the bass aren't biting, I love to bream, bluegill, catfish, and anything else I can catch on a good day. I've lived here most of my life, though I spent time in Fairbanks, Alaska, which is where 2 of my 3 children were born and will always be my home. I love pretty much anything outdoors. I have horses, and a dirtbike, and a 4-wheeler, but fishing is my passion and where I'm happiest. I'm going to get my first Yak tomorrow, Ascend FS10T angler, and can NOT believe how excited I am to get started. I've fished Tournaments for the past 12 years and until last year, I fished from a Bullet, 2110 comp hull at 99.8 GPS Top Speed. Speed no longer appeals to me, he who has the most money goes fastest, and I'm short on that. LOL! Anyway, I'm looking forward to Kayak fishing as this adventure is the pie in the sky for me. We don't have whitewater here in middle Tennessee, but when the bite is on, there is nothing better. Woo-hoo!! Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and tell everyone that I look forward to chatting with each of you and inviting all of you to fish my area with me as well as hopeully visiting some of yours. When Im not fishing, I'm usually out on my bike, and this Kayak, I hope, is a productive addition to that obsession.

In conclusion, Hello from Lawrenceburg, TN and I hope you'll be patient with some of my no-brainer questions as I am a cherry Kayaker, but if you can look over me for a short while, hopefully there is room for me in Kayak fishing somewhere!

Thanks!

Terry Matney from Lawrenceburg, TN

Welcome to KBF! Feel free to ask any questions you like... The only dumb question is the one you SHOULD HAVE asked before putting that inch and a half hole in your plastic boat. ;-)

Post up some pics of your new ride... And if you still have that glitter missle take the pics of your new kayak in front of it with a "For Sale" sign stuck on it. That would be freaking awesome!

Welcome again!
