The Realtree Fishing KBF TRAIL Series Powered by Dakota Lithium will return to Lake Havasu on March 25-26, 2023. This is the third stop of the Kayak Bass Fishing Trail season and the Trail’s first visit to Havasu since 2019! The KBF Trail at Havasu is also the first chance in 2023 for West Coast anglers to stack points in the Rogue Fishing Angler of the Year Race.
Hosted by Go Lake Havasu, the 2023 Realtree Fishing KBF Trail Lake Havasu I & II presented by Dee Zee is a 5-fish, CPR, members only tournament. KBF weekends comprise two single day Trail tournaments and the Dakota Lithium Double Up Program which spans both days.
Additionally, KBF has partnered with Kayak Anglers of Arizona, for this event. Contact Bryce Gibbs for additional information about parallel tournaments to increase your opportunities. When asked about the bass fishing at Havasu in March Gibbs said:
“The lake should be fishing awesome! All stages of the spawn will be going on in different ends of the lake. Havasu is plenty big…Motorless launch areas, Mesquite Bay and Bill Williams are a way to avoid boat traffic and getting a feel for the body of water.”
Havasu is the first of two west coast KBF Trail weekend in 2023. As the only national kayak fishing series with a presence in the western states, Kayak Bass Fishing provides anglers with opportunity to reach the national stage, and west coast anglers have made the most of it by qualifying for the TEN house, placing in championship events and more. Get signed up, and get ready to make the most of it, too!
