Dakota Lithium

Dakota Lithium creates sustainable energy products to help people with affordable transportation and long-lasting energy storage. We’re here to power your passions, and help make the world a little bit better while we do it. The technology future of hover boards and electric cars that we dreamed about as kids is here. And for every new electric vehicle or powerful electronics there is a battery behind it.

We believe that quality makes the difference. And that quality is measured by lifespan – how long a battery lasts. That’s why here at Dakota Lithium we focus on building batteries that last a long, long time. By harnessing a unique chemistry and our engineering know-how Dakota Lithium lasts 4x longer than traditional batteries, providing lasting value for our customers, and reducing e-waste and the impact on our planet. Dakota Lithium batteries help you do what you love longer. To help you play harder. Go further. Last longer.

Jason Gardner

Bio — I grew up in Bath, Maine, but currently live in Topsham, with my family. My son is my biggest fan, and my biggest critic, but is also my inspiration. Knowing what he goes through, just to get through a day, reminds me that this thing we do really doesn’t mean much to the overall picture. I fish because I enjoy it, and when it stops being fun, I’ll find something else to do. Currently, I am the President of Maine Yak Anglers. We are in our infancy, but are already established as the biggest trail in the State. We believe in promoting the sport in a positive manner, accepting anybody that wants to do the same, and supporting the other Club trails in New England. I got in to kayaking (fishing) at my wife’s request to spend more time as a family… A move she regrets to this day, and one of the few times she would ever admit she was wrong!

Tyler Sweet

Bio — While Tyler Sweet may have just completed his rookie season with KBF, he is no newcomer to the sport of kayak angling. From the time he could walk, he has spent his entire life fishing from canoes and kayaks. From the cedar strip canoe his father built, to the 2019 Hobie Outback he’ll be competing out of for the National Championships, he has long had a passion for paddle sports and fishing.
Tyler grew up a trout fisherman, spending his summer days chasing trout in the streams and rivers of upstate New York. But he always savored a chance to go after the big smallmouth of the Adirondack park. If given the choice of any kind of fishing, he will always choose throwing big topwater baits for those big smallmouth blowups. When not chasing smallies, he’s often found trolling for walleye or lake trout. During the winter months, the boats go in the garage in exchange for the short poles and filling the freezer with perch and crappie fillets.

Joe D’Addeo

Bio — My family and I live in New Hampshire where the open water fishing season is way too short! My uncle Hank taught me how to fish when I was 13 and I have been “hooked” ever since. I purchased my first kayak in 2011 and love how quick and easy it is to get into any water. I am new to fishing tournaments, I found KBF online and signed up for my first tournament in January 2018. Having never fished outside of New England before, tournament fishing has brought me to all new waters around the country.

My wife is my biggest supporter, without her I could not have pursued this dream. It has been an amazing first season and I cannot wait to see what 2019 brings!

Casey Reed

Bio — As a teenager, I spent most of my waking hours during the summers with friends, fishing in a neighbor’s pond behind the house. It would be dark and well past dinnertime before I returned home. I got my first kayak in 2012, and then a few years later I entered my first kayak fishing tournament. Now I travel the country fishing any derby I can, trying to become the best angler I can be. Fishing is a huge part of my life, and I would have never met many of my friends without it. I am proud to call myself a kayak angler.

Bio — I began fishing from a kayak in 2007, when I bought a Pelican Getaway 140. No bells, no whistles; just two flush mount rod holders and one swivel rod holder. I upgraded to a Jackson Kayak Big Rig in 2016, and just added a Big Rig HD/FD to the small collection.

I am the founder of Massachusetts Kayak Bassin’ (MAKB), the biggest kayak bass fishing tournament series in the state. I am also a husband, father, Air Force veteran, obsessive music fan, writer, publisher, editor, and dozens of other things. My list of passions is as diverse as it is long.
