In early 2021, Tennessee angler Joshua Sharp fished the DEE ZEE KBF TENvitational on the Kissimmee Chain, survived late rallies from the top kayak anglers and ultimately punched a ticket to the DEE ZEE KBF THE TEN house.
Who will show up this year, win the TENvitational and punch that elusive final ticket to DEE ZEE KBF THE TEN?
What is it?
Kayak Bass Fishing’s 2022 season will begin on January 29-30 on the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes in Kissimmee, Florida. Hosted by Kissimmee Sports and Experience Kissimmee, the 2022 DeeZee KBF TENvitational is a two-day, 5-fish, CPR invitational tournament held the weekend prior to the annual Dee Zee KBF The TEN.
The TENvitational also announces the start of a new fishing season because it is held alongside the year’s first Realtree Fishing KBF TRAIL Events presented by Dee Zee and powered by Dakota Lithium. If you have your current KBF membership, you can sign up for the TRAIL event. That isn’t the case with the TENvitational. To sign up for it, you must be on its roster of eligible anglers.
Who is eligible?
Eligible means you qualified in a previous season and are on 
an exclusive list consisting of the top KBF competitors.
- If you have won 1st place in a Realtree Fishing Challenge Series event, you are on the list.
- If you have placed in the top three in KBF OPEN or TRAIL Series, Pro Tour, Special Member-only or Championship tournaments, you are in.
- If you have won a KBF Challenge Points Leader title for your state, you can find your name on the 2021 Qualification list or on this list.
What if I Am Not on the List?
If you are not on the list, but you would like to be for 2023, you can begin your work at Kissimmee, by fishing in:
- The Realtree Fishing KBF TRAIL Events presented by Dee Zee powered by Dakota Lithium
- Or the January State Monthly Challenge Series
- Or both!

- DEE ZEE KBF TENvitational (January 29-30, Eligible Anglers only)

- About the lakes: The Kissimmee Chain of Lakes comprises about one dozen lakes and over 20,000 surface acres of water, marshes and canals. The site of Major League Fishing’s inaugural tournament, the lakes are popular with recreational anglers as well as tournament professionals due to the variety of habitat and scenic waters.
