Looking to fish a KBF Trail or Pro Series? Below are a list of FAQ’s and upcoming tournaments.
MEMBERSHIP & REGISTRATION
What type of membership must I have? To fish a KBF Trail event you must be an active KBF Premium Member (annual or Lifetime).
I am a free or Ambassador member, how do I upgrade? Upgrades are handled within the KBF Club dashboard. Click here: https://app.fishingchaos.com/club/kbf . Then click the “Dashboard” button on the bottom of the page beside “Tournaments”. Click “Tournaments” to see Series specific tournaments. Click “AOY” to see Series specific AOY standings.
When is the registration deadline? The registration deadline for each event is 11:59 PM (event local time) the Thursday prior to the event. Example: Folsom Lake Trail Event dates are 2/19 and 2/20, registration will close on 2/17 at 11:59 PM PST for both events. There are NO exceptions being made this year for late registrations.
Is the Trail Event one or two days? Each day is a stand alone event, you may fish one day or both days. To fish both days you will need to purchase both tickets.
TRAIL AND PRO SERIES INFO
What is the Pro Series? KBF Pro Members can pit their skill against other kayak bass anglers on the national level to establish the foundation for a true stand alone professional kayak fishing series. More information can be found here: https://www.kayakbassfishing.com/proseries/
Can I enter the Pro Series without entering a Trail Event? Yes.
How do you know if you qualify to fish the Pro Series? Qualifications can be found here: https://www.kayakbassfishing.com/proseries/
How can I compete in AOY? Trail AOY points consist of the following: your best 3 Trail Events (600 pt maximum with a 6 pt decrement per place) and the Trail Series Championship (900 pt maximum with a 9 pt decrement per place).
Pro AOY points consist of the following: your best 3 Pro Series events (600 pt maximum with a 6 pt decrement per place) and the Pro Series Championship (900 pt maximum with a 9 pt decrement per place).

BONUS BUCKS & PRIZES
What is the Dakota Lithium Power Pay aka KBF Bonus Bucks? Bonus bucks is Kayak Bass Fishing’s incentive rewards program. Competitors MUST compete in both KBF TRAIL Events to be eligible for KBF BONUS BUCKS payouts. In order to be eligible for bonuses in any competitive event, Competitors must purchase the KBF BONUS BUCKS ticket in the event on Fishing Chaos prior to the event registration deadline. Event ticket is $35 for the KBF TRAIL Series and will cover both days.
How much does the Dakota Lithium Power Pay KBF Bonus Bucks pay? 1st place – $1,000, 2nd place – $400, 3rd place – $300, 4th place – $200, 5th place – $100. Payout does not roll down. Example if John places first, did not purchase the ticket, Mel places second and purchased the ticket, then Mel gets the second place bonus of $400.
Is there a Big Bass Prize this year? Yes, the Dakota Lithium Big Bass is an overall leaderboard. It includes everyone that submits to the Trail 1, Trail 2 and Pro Series Leaderboards. 1st place – $500 Dakota Lithium Gift Certificate, 2nd place – $200 KBF Bucks, 3rd place – $100 KBF Bucks. There is no ticket charge for Big Bass, all anglers are entered.
RULES & REFUNDS
What is the refund policy? Entry fee refunds must be received prior to the event registration deadline to be eligible for a full credit to another KBF event or a refund minus 20%. KBF is not responsible for any refunds of expenses related to travel or lodging reservations or other payments involving third parties. Competitors must complete the refund request form to be eligible for a refund. (found in the event description on Fishing Chaos)

SCHEDULES
Where can I find the 2022 KBF Schedule? You can view the KBF schedule here: https://www.kayakbassfishing.com/schedule/ (we are still in the process of linking all events to the Fishing Chaos event page)
Where can I find details for an upcoming tournament? All details can be found in Fishing Chaos. From the Fishing Chaos tournament page, search for the tournament (at the top of the page), click on the tournament you are looking for and then scroll down to see the details. This should be the first place you look for questions you may have, 95% of all answers to questions can be found in the details.
