The 2023 Realtree Fishing KBF Trail Series events are Members Only Catch, Photo, and Release tournaments.
Entry Fees
- KBF TRAIL SERIES I – $125.00
- KBF TRAIL SERIES II – $125.00
- Dakota Lithium Double Up – $100.00 ( Includes 2-day total bonus & daily big bass bonuses)
Eligible Water:
- COMPETE ON: The tidal Potomac River – Boundaries: Woodrow Wilson (495) Bridge, south to Harry Nice (301) Bridge. Potomac Tributaries as far as one may paddle/float from them, plus any canal, creek, channel or slough connecting them within the boundaries listed.
- OFF LIMITS: Chopawamsic Creek (due to not being accessible via the main river) and any water posted off-limits.
- Launching is allowed via military installation launches directly onto eligible water that is accessible via the main river. Passes and permits are available where required and are angler’s responsibility.
- Chopawamsic Creek on Quantico MCB is NOT an authorized area due to the inability to enter the tributary from main river.
- Fort Belivoir’s Gunston Cove and Dogue Creek are eligible launches.
- If launching from an approved military installation, anglers MUST acquire the proper base fishing permits/licenses and follow all base check-in/check-out procedures
- LAUNCH from any public-access launch point contiguous with, though not necessarily directly onto, eligible water, except off-limits areas as stated above

PRIZE PAYOUT
Payments are processed after event results are finalized and all disputes have been resolved. Each Competitor awarded a cash prize must have an IRS FORM W-9 on file with KBF. Details and instructions
After receiving the completed, signed and dated Form W-9, KBF will distribute payments via PayPal Funds Transfer to the email address provided during event registration or to the account type specified during registration.

- 2023 KBF TRAIL SERIES Championship – Competitors who finish in the top 25% in rank
- 2024 KBF National Championship – Competitors who finish in the top 25% in rank
- Dee Zee KBF TENvitational (Jan 2024) — Top 10%

EVENT RULES
- Format: CPR (catch-photo-release) Tournament in which bass are photographed on an approved measuring board along with an Event Identifier Card are uploaded via the Fishing Chaos App.
- Minimum length: 12.00″
- Number of Fish: Trail Series I & II – best 5 each day.
- Event ID Code: The Event ID Code will be released at 7:00 PM the night before the tournament start time. The code will appear in the tournament dashboard on Fishing Chaos, click the yellow “VIEW IDENTIFIER CODE” box to see the 4 digit code. The code must be clearly written in any box on the Event Identifier Card. print identifier card
- Safety Status: Reporting your safety status when launching “In the Water” and returning to the launch “Out of Water” is mandatory.
- Disputes: the dispute period will remain open for 1 hour from the end of competition time. Disputes are accepted only by submitting the dispute form.
- Entry Fee Refunds: Cancellations must be received prior to the event registration deadline to be eligible for a full credit to another KBF event or a refund minus 20%. KBF is not responsible for any refunds of expenses related to travel or lodging reservations or other payments involving third parties. Competitors must complete the refund request form to be eligible for a refund.
