Bonafide Kayaks plans to have it’s new pedal drive kayak, the P127, hitting dealers with a projected release (and availability) date of October 1st, 2021. I had the opportunity to take one of the first ones out for some extensive time on the water. I had previously been able to paddle the prototype of this model and provide feedback to improve the overall layout, design and functionality. The P127 turned out to be a great balance of function, design and performance by integrating the proven Propel pedal drive system, known for being the first with reverse when it hit the kayak fishing market with Native Watercraft. Native Watercraft and Bonafide Kayaks are both owned and operated by Big Adventures based in Fletcher, North Carolina and the P127 is a testament to the collaboration between these two distinctive brands.
To fully cover the features of this kayak, I created a full walkthrough video to help better illustrate the design layout, features and to show the kayak in action.
