New seasons bring new opportunity for most things in life. This season, for KBF, things are little more than the normal amount of different. Admittedly, we have made a habit of changing and dialing things in at a pace that could seem disorganized and chaotic at times. We are striving to get away from that and to be more purposeful in our changes (okay, my changes) so that the adoption of these changes are much more manageable and easy to understand as the end user. We have always focused on customer service to the best of our ability, but this year we brought on Lynette in a full time customer service role and also created a Partner Program support function for her to help make things run much more smoothly. She is unbelievably organized and creates a great opportunity for us to really achieve our goal of World Class Customer Service. You support and understanding as we have gone through our growing pains means the world to us and you deserve the best we can give.
Life has thrown me a few curve balls over the course of the last few months. That said, I have a healthy, beautiful family and arguably the best job on the planet (Meaning, I would argue with anybody that thinks that I don’t). It doesn’t come without it’s own challenges and it is difficult when you are making something from scratch without a true recipe to follow. These are challenges and difficulties that I openly embrace and thoroughly enjoy, if I am being honest. It’s part of what makes my job so great – and maddening.
As we move into the future of this evolution of our sport, I have a renewed commitment to being a positive influence, resourceful leader and committed advocate. I work for you. I commit to you that I will avoid controversy and negativity, push the envelope to keep creating new opportunities and support those that are helping create positive change and growth in our industry. Even if just in our little niche.
As we move forward as an organization, I would like to renew our focus on helping anglers that are new to the sport, those that need assistance with the little things or those that are looking to grow their own understanding of the best ways to do things. I am challenging those of you that have knowledge and experience to share it and those of you that need it to be willing to ask. At some level, we all have something to share and something to learn if we hope to continue to improve as anglers and ambassadors for our sport.
Be on the lookout for some really exciting updates and announcements very soon and if you are in the Indianapolis Area, please stop by the KBF Booth at the Indy Sports Show. Hope to see y’all there or on the water this year.
