The Kayak Bass Fishing Big Bass Challenge is a week-long big bass tournament from October 2nd – October 9th. Qualified anglers fishing on Lake Guntersville in the National Championship, Trail Series Championship and Challenge Series Championship may all compete. Entry is free and there are daily cash prizes.

- The Big Bass Challenge is a free event. Registration includes both the practice period and the Big Bass Challenge (Friday, Oct. 9).
- A 6 day practice period begins 6:30 am on Friday, Oct 2nd and ends at 2:30 pm on Thursday, October 8th.
- There is no ID code for the practice event (Oct 2-8).
- ID code for Friday, Oct 9th competition will be released at 7pm on Thursday, Oct 8th. It can be written on either the posted ID card file or the official National Championship identifier. the code will appear on both the Fishing Chaos dashboard and on the KBF website ID Codes page.
- Daily competition period is 6:30 am – 2:30 pm (photo deadline is 3:30 pm)
- The practice event includes a $100 cash prize for the biggest daily bass and $1000 paid to the biggest bass overall in the practice period (10/2-10/8)
- The Big Bass Challenge continues as a free single day event on Friday, October 9th, on the last day of the National Championship.
- The Big Bass Challenge on Friday, October 9th will pay out 10 places.
1st place = $1000
2nd place = $500
3rd place = $250
4-10th place = $100
- Format: single longest black bass, per day.
- Minimum length: 15.00″
